Inclusive Community

Modern Husbands is an inclusive community. Full stop. We welcome all folks to be members of the Modern Husbands community, including those from the LGBTQ+ community.

 

The nomenclature used to describe relationships can be challenging. We often reference husbands and wives, but loving partnerships and marriages come in all forms, none of which are greater than the other. Our community embraces loving relationships, partnerships, and marriages.

 

Modern Husbands also recognizes that the LGBTQ+ community faces an ongoing struggle against intolerance, discrimination, and injustice. Of late, the rights of LGBTQ+ community are under relentless attack. Literally. Transgender people are over four times more likely than cisgender people to experience violent victimization.

 

42% of trans teens ATTEMPT suicide.  The Trevor Project is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth. The Trevor Project provides information and support to LGBTQ young people, such as immediate access to counselors 24/7 and all year round. This is particularly necessary as some states have passed laws that attack the mental health and create a culture of hate toward trans children.
