We wrote this post to save unknowing husbands from the nauseating experience of The Notebook, or any movie like it. Nevertheless – when it comes to movie nights, the rom-com genre might not always be our first choice but sometimes compromise is in order.
Start the conversation strong, perhaps proclaiming the American Pie series as chick flicks. After all, Stifler’s mom deserves love too. But if that doesn’t work, you can trust this list of thirteen to make both of you happy.

1. "Wedding Crashers" (2005)
While this movie isn’t strictly a traditional romantic comedy, it's filled with humor and features Vaughn and Owen Wilson as friends who crash weddings to meet women. Romance and laughs ensue in this popular comedy.
