Christmas Chocolate-Dipped Pretzel Rods Recipe

How to make the perfect Christmas Day snack:


Ingredients


  • 1 bag of large pretzel rods

  • 2 cups of semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate chips

  • Assorted Christmas-themed sprinkles

  • Crushed candy canes (optional)


Instructions


  1. Melt the Chocolate:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth and fully melted.


  2. Prepare the Dipping Station:

    • Lay out a sheet of parchment paper on a flat surface.

    • Place your sprinkles and crushed candy canes in shallow bowls.


  3. Dip the Pretzels:

    • Dip each pretzel rod into the melted chocolate, covering about half of the pretzel.

    • Let the excess chocolate drip off.


  4. Decorate:

    • Roll the chocolate-dipped end of the pretzel in the sprinkles or crushed candy canes, or you can sprinkle them on top for a more controlled design.

    • Lay the pretzels on the parchment paper to set.


  5. Set the Chocolate:

    • Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature, or for quicker setting, place the pretzels in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
